Some VHF & HF Nets in Atlantic Canada Area

Here's a just a short list of some the regular HF & VHF Nets held on a fairly regular basis in the Atlantic Canada area.

One of the best and most regular VHF Nets is held Monday through Friday AM, on the Greenwood, Nova Scotia Repeater 147.240 +. Alway have a multiple list of operators checking in every morning. It's called the Early Morning Net.

Here in Saint John, the LCARC hold their Sunday Night 2 meter net on 147.2700 + usually gets underway roughly around 8:00-PM.

Monday through Friday, the Maritime White Cane HF Net gets underway at 6:00-PM on 3.770.00 MHz, and right after that net starting at 7:00-PM, There's the Maritime HF Net on 3.750,00

The Nova Scotia Red Cross Net is held every Thursday Afternoon at 12:30-PM until roughly around until 1:00-Pm, when it switches over to an HF Net on 3.770,00 Mhz. The Province of New Brunswick Red Cross organization on Lansdowne Avenue in the North End of the City doesn't have a net, nor have they ever participated in the above Nova Scotia Red Cross Net.

I'll be posting shortly pictures of the Antenna System of the New Brunswick Red Cross EOC. It's a shame their not participating. I sometimes wonder in My personal opinion only if they even care ?

Here's another VHF IRLP Nets:

Sundays 2000 hours local - 147.270 repeater - LCARC weekly net

Sundays 2100 hours local - 145.330 repeater - IRG weekly net

Wednesday 1100 hours local - 145.330 repeater - IRG weekly net

HF

Sundays 1900 GMT - 14.125 USB - Canadian Red Cross Headquarters in Ottawa conducts a weekly net on Sundays at 1900z on 14.125. Various Red Cross associated stations across Canada usually check-in, but all check-ins are welcome. Please Note: I don't know why this is still posted on the LCARC Web Site ? I'm pretty sure this net hasn't been in operation for several years now.
